18th June: National Day holiday. There are parades in Victoria, political rallies in the stadium, and shows and sporting events.
 

August
15th August: Assumption Day (Assumption of the Virgin Mary) Particularly on La Digue it is celebrated with a Mass, a street parade and also a folk festival.
 

October
Creole Festival, beginning on 28 October.

October -  December
Communion celebrations everywhere. This is the most important celebration in the life of the Seychellois people, for which parents or mothers and grandmothers scrape their last pennies together. Because many of them could not afford much for their own wedding, they at least dress up their children as a little bride or bridegroom.
 

November
SUBIOS-Underwater festival with competitions, lectures, film and slide shows and dives: 30th November:  Street procession of the Church of St. Andreas in Cascade (east Mahé) followed by a blessing of the fishing boats
